The block in between 2025

In the centre of Rotterdam, between the West-Kruiskade and the Nieuwe Binnenweg, lies my neighbourhood. It is the block where I live, where I love to be and where I feel like I am in my village. The moment I step outside it, I am in Rotterdam.

In my portraits and images of this specific part of Rotterdam I try to capture what makes it so beautiful to me. The day, the night, but above all the people who live there. I always wonder: who are these people, what do they do and how do they live? What does it look like behind the front door? A hidden place within a part of the city I know so well.
